About us
Nickirian Care was started by the owner, Sandra Bremner in 2006, who, after several years working as a carer / nurse recognised that there was a major shortage of quality respite service. The name Nickirian Care was taken from the first three letters of her childrens' names: Nicola, Kirsty and Ian.
'The Bungalow' was purchased in July 2006 and specially adapted for use as a respite facility.
The service is designed to benefit both the carer and the service user to have positive experiences during respite.
Every single aspect of our service at 'The Bungalow' has been designed to emphasise 'normality' and maximise the opportunity for service users to access the same things that you and I take for granted. The service user is the heart of the service and is given real choice in the support/care offered.
Each service user has an individual care package tailored to meet their needs and preferences. They can choose to be as busy or relaxed during their stay as they wish.
