We aim to:
- Provide a comfortable short-break facility with 24 hour care which will feel like 'home from home'.
- Provide individual packages of care tailored to meet service users' needs and preferences.
- Provide a place that service users will enjoy visiting and their families / carers will have confidence in.
- A place in which the individuals' physical, emotional, spiritual, cognitive and social needs can be met safely.
- Provide an environment and atmosphere which will encourage residents to practise self-determination, develop existing skills, realise opportunities to learn new skills and participate in new, fun activities which will in turn increase confidence and self-esteem.
- Provide a sensitive, client-centred approach.
- Provide residents with the dignity of 'risk taking' within a measured, yet sensitive framework of support. This will promote independence.
- Provide a well-equipped facility which is a happy, homely environment, conducive to both learning and comfortable living.
- Provide dedicated staff, sufficient in number, of necessary ability, well-managed and deployed to assist service users in all aspects of their care.
- Staff treat service users with respect and dignity at all times.
